2023 Mimi’s Rosé

With signature freshness and bright acidity, this wine is a tribute to Mary “Mimi” Seavey and her incredible vitality and generous spirit. She would have enjoyed this clean, crisp wine sourced from a few special rows of our vineyard and crafted by winemaker Jim Duane.

Tasting Notes

The 2023 Mimi’s Rosé is light, bright and delicious with a completely dry purity.  Harvesting grapes with high natural acidity early in the season provided the structure that delivers grapefruit, rose, and lemongrass flavors.  Crisp from start to finish, the wine exudes the elegance and lightness of our efforts to express the earliest grapes to be harvested at Seavey Vineyard.

Production Notes

This seventh vintage of Mimi’s Rosé began with the early pick of a few special rows of our vineyard blocks. The grapes were pressed, followed by cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks and aging in a concrete egg.  The wine has a pale salmon color from the gentle pressing on the day of harvest.  Screwcap tops were used to protect this wine’s delicacy.
