In 2010, our Estate provided us with our 17th vintage of Merlot. While the growing season began cool, moderate temperatures generally prevailed, providing an opportunity to develop dark berry characteristics while maintaining tannin structure and preserving acidity.
Upon approach, this wine provides an array of dense floral and perfume aromas aligned with lively dark berries and pastry flake. The initial entry into your palate reveals blackberry, blueberry, black and red cherry, ripe cranberry and lingering chewy tannins. Savory notes abound with bitter-sweet cocoa, toasty almond pastry, caraway seed and mocha. The finish is notably long and should be savored. We recommend decanting this wine during its first year of release.
