In 2009, we grew our 16th vintage of Merlot. The growing season on our southern facing hillside vineyard was particularly long and allowed our grapes to mature without rush. This wine maintains a soft and opulent entry into the palate with flavors of blueberry compote, blackberry jam, boysenberry pastry, mulberry, violets, tobacco, cocoa, vanilla, cedar and leather. The firm tannins provide a tactile yet velvety texture, which lingers on the finish. Savor each glass of this wine as it will continue to reveal its complexities for hours after you open the bottle.
