Described by some of our friends as the best Merlot they have ever tasted, the triumphant 2008 is our fifteenth Merlot vintage. The wine is particularly dark, rich, and complex and is sure to please those who enjoy it upon release as well as those who exercise a little patience and cellar this very age-worthy Bordeaux varietal.
The nose is enticed by violets, blackberries, blueberries, bramble, a weightless floral perfume and a touch of French oak. Once in the mouth the palate is presented with tobacco, cocoa covered truffles, pomegranate, boysenberry and ripe chewy tannin which provide a supportive structure for its wide flavor profile. Enjoy 2011 - 2018. Bottled in May 2010.
