2005 Seavey Cabernet
750ml Price:
$105.00
"The wine discloses an inky black/purple color, a gorgeous nose of roasted meats, blackberry and cassis, with a hint of licorice and background underbrush and oak. It is a large-scaled, rich, concentrated wine with high tannins, but fabulous purity and length. Give this wine 3-5 years of cellaring, and drink it over the next 30 years." Rating 95+ Robert Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate, Dec 2007.
2004 Seavey Cabernet
750ml Price:
$115.00
“There are 905 cases of the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon). Full-bodied and powerful with velvety tannin, fabulous intensity, and stunning aromas of smoked herbs, charcoal embers, chocolate, creme de cassis, and minerals, it is a rich, voluptuously textured wine that admirably hides its serious tannin levels. It will unquestionably keep for two decades or more.” Rating 94 Robert Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate, Dec 2006.
2003 Seavey Cabernet
750ml Price:
$140.00
“The brilliant 2003 Cabernet boasts a dense purple color as well as a big sweet nose of scorched earth, crème de cassis, licorice, spice, and a roasted meat-like character. Full-bodied, opulent, and rich, with tremendous intensity, huge texture, exceptional balance, and sweet tannin, this stunning Cabernet will be drinkable reasonably early in life (a rarity for a Seavey), but should easily last 15-20 years.” Robert Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate, Dec 2005.
2002 Seavey Cabernet
750ml Price:
$125.00
"A superstar in the making. An impressively deep purple color is followed by a sweet nose of roasted meats, black currants, melted licorice, and chocolate. It coasts over the palate with a full-bodied style, an unctuous texture, admirable purity, and a wonderful singularity. Cassis, chocolate, licorice, and background oak combine in this structured, powerful, impressively endowed Cabernet. Rating 94.” Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, Feb 2005.
2001 Seavey Cabernet
750ml Price:
$125.00
Stephen Tanzer notes, “Fascinating, super-ripe nose combines plum, iron, leather, mocha, hot rocks, underbrush, licorice and game, plus a light note of raisining fruit. Then sweet, pliant and generous with exceptional depth of texture. Very suave, seamless wine, finishing very long and sweet with huge, broad tannins that coat the cheeks and the front teeth. Seavey’s flagship wine has performed consistently well.” Intl Wine Cellar #114.
2005 Seavey Merlot 750ml
750ml Price:
$50.00
The lush nose of ripe blackberries with hints of cedar, clove and dark chocolate gives way to an exceedingly long and rich finish. The wine's opulence is a signature of the classic 2005 vintage. To our core Merlot blocks we added Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Petit Verdot (5%) from the very top of our vineyard, a portion we call “Masochist Hill” because of its extreme slope.
